About Us

“A Gentle & Joyous Introduction to School” is our Goal

We want to instill young children with the joy of learning, nurture their senses of wonder, their curiosity, their appetites for music, art, and nature, while building the self-esteem and social readiness skills (sharing, taking turns, etc.) that are the basis for successful socializing with other children and adults.

Our curriculum is age appropriate and our approach gentle, non-pressured, and enthusiastic - an exposure, not a “lesson”. At this young age children naturally absorb concepts such as colors and shapes as they are exposed to them. Moms and Dads are frequently surprised at how interested and capable their toddlers are!

But the most important thing to remember is that Mr. Turtle’s School is FUN! The children are simply having a wonderful time. Many moms report that their little ones wake up every day hoping that it's a Mr. Turtle’s Day. And Moms and Dads are making wonderful memories that they will treasure forever.

Why is Mr. Turtle’s School a Cooperative School?

Toddlerhood is the transition period between infancy and childhood. As every parent knows, toddlers at times demonstrate a fierce independence and at other times display an equally strong need for the immediate support from a parent. The chance that the first exposure to school will be a fun, rewarding experience for a child is much greater if a parent is present.
